= Perspectives. =

Now that it has suddenly struck me, after I've heard 2 sides of the stories (at least 2 weeks ago), the perspectives and interpretations by the onlookers are really different. Not a simple incident, but summing up observations over time.

Is it due to different level of contact with the subject in question? Or how different years of experience has an influence on perspective? Or was it mere 'feeling'? Or the other supporting background factors contributed to the eventual analysis?

So, was it for power and status? Or was it a case of blowing the top because of unfair differential treatment over time?

A mere thin line marks the huge difference.

So, what do you say?

One’s philosophy is not best expressed in words; it is expressed in the choices one makes... and the choices we make are ultimately our responsibility. ~ Eleanor Roosevelt (source)

Random @ 11.21pm on a Monday night --

1. Very bored. In desperate need of excitement now/in her life.

2. Gotten another insight for that - her opinions are probably valued. (Well, much to her surprise)

3. Bored. Bored. Bored.

= Disbelief. =

There, I've done it.

I couldn't exactly believe it on 12/8. When I thought everything was just a really big hassle on 24/7/09. (In fact, I deleted that one line entry "Hassle's finally over." when I reached home around 5pm)

But anyway, I guess it isn't the event that matters. I guess, what matters --
1. They are happy that the event finally arrived. (I'm numb, because it's not the final yet)
2. It's a time for an occasion - for the family. :)

Was it a form of giving me recognition for what I've achieved so far?
Or was it providing a "role model" for my mei?
Or was it to prevent me from regretting in future?

No matter.
The matter's resolved as of today.
Returned. Whoopi! :)

= nostalgia? relativism? =

Surprisingly, you discovered that mates acquainted in the very far past (even if your were mere friends then) felt closer to the heart, than the relatively recently acquainted (not the most recently acquainted ones).

Perhaps I've fallen in the realm of nostalgia.

Or is that simply a case of relativism?

Or a case of wearing similar shoes?

= Amazing Beach Art. =

The artist says he gets great reactions from onlookers fortunate enough to see his works before they are washed away.

And he reckons its the fact they only last for a short time that captures most people's imagination.

'The scale of my artwork combined with the fact that it will soon be erased calls attention to itself, pulling the viewer in, allowing them to soak in the layers of meaning within every design.

He added: 'My ultimate goal is to promote the cause of self-awareness.

'The art I create is intended as a reflection and a reminder of the grandeur that exists within every viewer and the beauty that abounds in our world everywhere we look.

'At the beach itself the person lucky enough to see one happening generally stays to watch the process, cheering when I complete the design.'

And despite the fact that his magnanimous efforts are cruelly erased by the incoming sea water, Andres says he doesn't mind.

'Once I have finished a piece and can get up on the overlook to see my work and take photos, I completely let go of it.'

= The art of remaining anonymous. =

When everything becomes public whether you like it or not, remaining anonymous & keeping your private life really private (not through means of locking your profile, blog etc) is an art, truly.

Nothing is seamless nor flawless. So keeping it to the minimum is good enough.
Besides, I don't really have faith in those locks. When there are locks, lock-pickers are born. It's a vicious cycle and continuing competition to see who could pick faster or lock better.

A little incident ascertained my beliefs. Never mind how I came across this mysterious person, the mystery is solved regarding this mysterious person, via a few opportune clicks without much hassle. A point to note, the road to solving this mystery wasn't done on purpose either. In any case, the world has shrunk and become increasingly connected (even in ways you couldn't dream of)! hurhur.
Well, it's not that I've anything unsightly, indecent or unbecoming to hide. Neither do I have a private life that's happening or interesting enough for anyone to take an interest in.
Then again, how do you feel if someone knows very well about you even before you've met? Are you sure stereotyping is not in place? Are you sure whatever that's visible is what it really is? Are you sure that's the real thing online? ...

So as an ending note, sorry to everyone who has sent me fb invites - in the past, present, future. :) But many thanks for persevering with the invitations. :) In any case, this post serves as one of the many many reasons why I hadn't succumb to the fb fad for 2 years. =P
